Joseph Hummert, Anna Quitmeyer, Mackenzie McCray, and Drew Logullo pose by the familiar Hi-Q cube at the scholar bowl tournament in Carbondale. On September 24, Mater Dei defeated Wayne City in the first round of Scholastic Hi-Q, 410-240. Mackenzie McCray and Joseph Hummert led the team with seven toss-ups each. Anna Quitmeyer scored four times and Drew Logullo scored twice. In the second round of the Scholastic Hi-Q tournament, the Scholar Knights defeated East Richland, 390-370. Adam Holbrook led the team with ten toss-ups. Mackenzie McCray and Joseph Hummert scored five toss-ups each.
