The Scholar Knights rounded out their first semester with a road trip to Father McGivney High School for three Metro East Quad League matches. In the first match, the Knights faced the host Griffins. Ethan Schumacher got the scoring going for the Knights with his knowledge of French literature, as the Knights built a 220-80 halftime lead. The Knights continued to convert in the second half, winning by a final tally of 370-130. Ethan Schumacher, John Hund, and Jaden Meadows led the team with three toss ups each. Ben Logullo tallied two toss ups, while Nick Toennies and Alex Rivera scored one toss up each.

In the second match, the Scholar Knights tamed their cross-town-rival Central Cougars. Central struck first, but the Knights quickly answered and led 190-100 at halftime. In the second half, the Cougars could not close the gap, as the Knights won 370-200. Ben Logullo led the team with four toss ups. Ethan Schumacher scored three times. John Hund, Nick Toennies, and John Hilmes tallied two toss ups each.

In the finale, the Scholar Knights grounded the Civic Memorial Eagles. The Eagles scored the first toss up of the match, but would not convert another until question seventeen, as the Knights led 220-20 at half, en route to a 300-50 victory. Ethan Schumacher and Nick Toennies led the attack with three toss ups each. Ben Logullo and John Hund scored twice, while Alex Rivera added one toss up.

Becca Moss, Minh Le, Anthony Lepore, Drew Potthast, Mackenzie Horstmann, and Alex Norris also contributed to the victories.

The wins improved the Knights’ record to 29-1 on the season and 6-0 in Metro East Quad League play. The Scholar Knights will resume their season in January.
