CSW: Parish Appreciation Day

General NewsComments Off on CSW: Parish Appreciation Day

On Sunday, January 29, the Mater Dei community began their Catholic Schools Week celebration with Parish Appreciation Day.  During Masses at their parishes, student representatives offered their gratitude to parishioners for supporting Mater Dei and Catholic education with the following speech:

“Today is the beginning of National Catholic Schools Week.  This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service.” This theme underscores the long-standing tradition of Mater Dei Catholic High School, which strives to be a leader not only in educating her students, but also instilling in her students the faith, morals, and discipline that will enable them to fulfill future roles in our churches, our communities, and our nation.

Therefore, on behalf of the students, I want to thank the administrators, teachers, staff members, board members and volunteers of Mater Dei Catholic High School.  I especially want to thank this parish community for your support in fulfilling the Church’s mission in our Catholic schools.  We recognize the importance of your support and are grateful for your generosity – it truly makes a difference in the lives of students!

Again, on behalf of the students at Mater Dei Catholic High School, thank you!”
